Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

Meadowlark Gardens

Northern Virginia area is beautiful in the spring! Meadowlark is a wonderful place for a walk after the long winter. There is a children’s play area down the main path and to the left, with some sand and a few features to play on that overlooks the lake. There are ample pathways and some meadows for kids to run around. (But take care to look for signs and flowerbeds!) The gardens have cherry trees, lakes, shaded and sunny walkways, two gazebos, and a beautiful Korean Bell Garden.

There are a few benches lining the paths and many people use the gardens as a daily walking area. One of our favorite walks is to take the trail along the periphery of the park and return to the parking lots, with a stop at the gazebos to see the koi, and to lounge at the top of the hill.
